Dear readers

Some of you have followed the blog for a long time and know that it has been practically dormant for a while. The truth is that my work as an academic has very much taken over and I have struggled to keep it alive, despite the wonderful contributions of students and contacts. As House of Ocean ceased to be active as a consultancy last year, it now makes sense to also say farewell to the site and blog.

The front page and current blog posts will remain online for the remainder of 2026 only. Many of the earlier posts are accessible via other platforms, particularly IUU Watch.

Thank you for your company during the past 12 years – it has been a good journey and I am grateful to have shared it with many of you.
