About Us

Welcome to our website and blog!

House of Ocean is a nonprofit consultancy specialising in international and European Union marine fisheries law and governance, and the protection of marine mammals. Our organisation aims to support the eradication of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and to encourage the optimum regulation of marine living resources in all ocean areas.

Our consultants have unrivalled expertise in international fisheries law and governance, and in European Union legislation for the prevention and control of IUU fishing. We conduct research and advocacy for public and private organisations, and provide technical skills and capacity for project design and implementation, compliance evaluations, and legal or regulatory development. To discuss how we may support you, please contact us.

For expert commentary on matters concerning marine fisheries, and for news about House of Ocean, please visit our online platform, The IUU Fishing Blog. Blog entries on matters concerning European Union law and policy can also be accessed through Ideas on Europe.
